Mr. Taylor sits on the committee with Peter James: who states:-

I live in Salisbury with my wife Sandy. I am now retired after 40 years in the helicopter business. We have a grown up son and daughter, both of whom enjoy the timeshare experience. We bought our first timeshare in Hampshire 23 years ago and our first week at Lakeview 13 years ago. We now own three weeks at the resort, in March (lodge 57 week 11) in August (lodge 58 week 32) and December (lodge 52 week 52). I was co-opted on to the Lakeview committee some five years ago and then elected one year later. This year I was re-elected at the AGM for a further three years. I decided to put myself foreword to join the committee,  after many years of sitting on the sidelines, believing that my experience of helping to negotiate and manage multi billion pound contracts for helicopters around the world would bring something extra to the large pool of talent and experience that already existed on the committee. Whilst the size and scale are very different many of the issues are similar. In particular the ability to work in a team and the ability to understand the concerns of our fellow owners.

I have been on the committee giving Harry my support for six interesting years. With my wife Jane, we own three lodges at Lakeview (one of each type).I have recently retired as a project manager from Land Registry and before that at British Aero-Space and we now intend to make more use of our timeshare from Lakeview and the one we own in Weston, Florida, all in the RCI exchange system.  We have a daughter in Sydney and a son living in Plymouth. Both have taken advantage of timeshare and we have also enjoyed holidaying with friends in Madeira and Tenerife. We have a keen interest in ensuring that Lakeview is ‘Gold Crown’ and can match the very best of timeshare in the world. The first four years on the committee were turgid times, however, I now believe that is behind us and Lakeview has a promising, independent and exciting future ahead.

The Resort Control

The resort is controlled by these people and all have undeniable knowledge of business and corporate acumen. They are required to perform their duties which are within their proffered knowledge and if they do not them they are liable.

The resort and despite the claims of the above people is considered by many to be one of the worst run timeshare resorts in the UK with only 400 timeshare owners remaining.

The resort does not conduct its responsibilities in the original constitution and make consumers pay sums which are neither substantiated proven or real. They have engaged a manager who is reportedly in bed with Harry Taylor and that managing agent sits in a office which has not got the approval of the founding member, who has binned off TATOC and its £7,000 year contribution.

The resort has no founding member representation and the interest of the consumer is wholly at the mercy of the above named committee members.

That said, the TCA now release what could be described as ground breaking news.
