Savvy timeshare Consumers will recall in 2006 that Billy and Florence Robinson were murdered in gangland style killing.

After forensic analysis, the DNA found at the scene of the murder ignited a new investigation case.

A man listed in the Spanish Court documents as one of the suspects was from Romania but lives in Britain. The detective’s investigating the case suspected him of running a multi-million pound cocaine smuggling business.

The Robinson family was not happy about the investigations being shut down and believed that many loose ends were not fully investigated. They believed a lot more could be done.

Florence and Billy lived in Tenerife for 15years before they were killed. They were in reality, ambushed and dragged from their car. Florence was murdered in front of her husband who was then tortured before his death. The prosecutors who led the new probe drew up a list of suspects but again the case was halted before those suspects were fully tracked down.

In 2011 one unidentified Romanian suspect was arrested and samples of his DNA were taken believing that a positive match could break the case wide open again.

Florence and Billy originally from London worked in timeshare and for villain John “gold finger” Palmer. When Palmer was jailed in 2001 they built up their own timeshare business.

After he was arrested and cleared of melting down the gold from the 27million brinks/mat robbery in Heathrow in 1983, Palmer fled to Tenerife and sold non-existent holiday homes to 17,000.00 unsuspected tourists. Gold finger is said to be worth around 300million.

In 2001 he was slammed behind bars and caged in Britain for 8years for conspiracy to defraud. And in 2004 he was ordered to pay over 3.2million pounds to his victims.

A year later, he was freed early and declared bankrupt. One of his properties was sold but he kept over control of the rest of his empire. When released, he returned to Tenerife when he was again arrested suspected of masterminding a local crime gang.

Last month it was reported by Spanish police that he had been charged for a list of other offences linked to his criminal empire in Tenerife.

As of yesterday he was believed to be still living on his 6million yacht.

Yesterday’s headlines in the Mail reported that John “Gold finger” Palmer dead after he was told he would be facing a 15year stretch in the Spanish jails as his frauds had caught up with him.

Palmer, 64 was in his garden in Brentwood Essex when he collapsed just weeks after being told that he faced the 15 year porridge spell. Paramedics attempted to save his life at the scene however, his death was later reported.

His death reportedly resulted from health problems linked to a recent heart surgery.

The Spanish authorities are continuing with their investigations and other members of the alleged gang including Christina Ketley and nephews Andrew Palmer and Darren Morris who have also been charged.
