The Florida University graduate ‘Serge’, as he is known by the chairman, CEO and president of ILG – Craig M.Nash, has been named the new president and CEO of ILG (Interval Leisure Group). Sergio and Nash have worked together before, at Starwoods Vacation ownership division and Nash has said that he has a lot of respect for Sergio’s knowledge in resort development and hospitality.
Serge has over twenty-five years’ experience in the industry, his most recent post was president for The Americas for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide where he was involved in growing the brand name throughout the Americas. He gained this position following on from his post of president and CEO of Starwood Vacation Club, whom have recently been acquisitioned with Vistana Signature Experiences. ILG is a world leader in providing vacation experiences and is licensee for Westin, Sheraton and Hyatt vacation ownership brands. Sergio D.Rivera, whom joined the board of directors in May 2016, will have the responsibility of heading up the development, marketing, sales and resorts operations of Vistana Signature Experiences as well as Hyatt Vacation Ownership. He has been set in good stead with his previous experience along with his bachelor in Finance and Masters in Business Administration.
Nash has said that he has known Serge for over two decades and he believes that ILG will greatly benefit from Serge’s extensive knowledge, and they will roll out their strategic plan together with the intention of growing all of the brands. It looks like exciting times for Interval Leisure Group and its subsidiaries.
