Appearing in the news again, Vistana Signature Experiences brings another piece of good news to its timeshare owners.  They have announced the opening dates for their new Westin resort in Maui, Hawaii, the Westin Nanea Ocean Villas.  These new 1-3 bedroomed, luxurious villas will open in July 2017, all bookings made before December 4th 2016 for a summer stay in 2017 will be discounted by 20% as a special introductory offer.

These villas are located on the water’s edge in North Kaanapali Beach, the resort has a total of 390, 1,2 and 3-bedroomed villas spread over 16 acres of land.  The name ‘Nanea’ means relaxation and repose, which is exactly what Vistana want to express with this new, Hawaiian experience.  With its mix of mod cons, new technology and traditional Hawaiian culture thrown in, these villas will have something special to offer their guests.

At the heart of the resort, there will be a cultural centre that will have displays of local history, arts & crafts, music, dance and language.  The restaurant ‘Mauka Makai’ loosely translated as from the mountain and from the sea, encompassing the Hawaiian diet, their local produce from the oceans and local farms will be utilised to create a nutritious, healthy and exciting menu with the taste of Hawaii at the forefront.

The resort will cater for all, from couples to families, children and elders, having different zones and lots to do for everyone.  Some of the amenities include a massive lagoon with a separate childrens pool and play area.  The poolside bar will serve lighter bites and drinks, specialising in cocktails with a seafront location, one would presume a fantastic place to watch the sun going down.  The neighbouring resort, another of Westins popular destinations have two relaxing spas that the guests can enjoy during their stay at Nanea Ocean Villas.

Angela Nolan, the managing director of Hawaii villas, has explained that the resort will respect the Hawaiian culture, without failing to have particular attention to detail.  There will be a basket in the reception lobby of the hotel which will represent the stories of the past and receive the stories and memories of those whom pass through in the future.

“The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas will offer guests a luxurious experience, steeped in rich Hawaiian culture and tradition,”

she says.  We are all excited for the opening of this new resort and the lodging options for the current and future owners.

This announcement comes just one week after the announcement of the new president and CEO of ILG (Interval Leisure Group) whom are the licensees of Westin Resorts.  It is nice to see that there are some Timeshare groups that are striving to rise above the bad press that the Timeshare world is receiving at the moment.
