RCI have announced that they have come to an agreement to acquire another leading Timeshare exchange company called Dial and Exchange (DAE) and @Work International which are both based in Australia, although the deal is yet to be finalized as it is subject to certain conditions and guide lines which will need to be met and receipt of applicable regulatory approval is one of them.

If the deal is completed the Dial and Exchange offices in Egypt, US, New Zealand and Australia will all belong to RCI which RCI feel will open a door to a different type of travelers than they already have, widen their database and assist them becoming a larger company within this holiday accommodation sector.

“Since first pioneering the vacation exchange concept more than 40 years ago, RCI has continually found new ways to evolve and grow its own business while also propelling the exchange industry forward,” said Gordon Gurnik, president of RCI. “Through this acquisition we will expand the exchange and holiday options we offer travellers, increase the technology capabilities we provide to our resort partners and strengthen our footprint in key growth markets across the globe.”

After running and growing for over 40 years DAE will benefit from the foundations RCI has already built over the years as they are currently the leading exchange system for Timeshare owners worldwide. RCI currently have over 4300 resorts affiliated to them in almost 110 different countries and has around 3.8 million people who subscribe to RCI every year.

Dial and Exchange will remain running as an independent and separate organization and be marketed separately from RCI as they currently have a “strong and loyal” consumer base however the two companies will collaborate to allow a faster growth.

Francis Taylor who is the co-founder and managing director will continue to run DAE and Peter Vanderhorst will remain managing director of @Work.

“This will provide DAE with the resources it needs to fulfil its ultimate potential,” said Taylor. “It’s a great opportunity for the company and its dedicated staff around the world.”
