We have recently come across another website which appears to be a yet another “scam” company that has been set up recently.

www.holidayownershipadviceline.com has several clear signs to us that indicate they are not a legitimate company and is in fact a fake site. To begin with the website has no address details in the footer (or anywhere on the site for that matter) and some of the images that are used on the site as just images which can be found online such as the “five stars” image which when clicked is not linked to an accredited review company.

From information we have received we believe the people behind the site currently have contact details for Diamond owners and are cold calling owners to offer their “services”.

The site indicates that they are a company of legal specialists who can help claim money back for mis-sold Timeshares, just like many other companies which are doing a similar scam they advise people that they will be able to get them out of their Timeshare and then also “guarantee” they will be able to get them compensation for money they have paid such as initial cost, maintenance fees, mis-selling compensation and legal fees. These companies will ask for usually thousands to begin with the “legal proceedings” and then advise you that the compensation is on a “no win no fee” basis.

Unfortunately, it is unclear to us how many people have fallen victim to this company as yet however we do hope that many will be able to see this article before paying them anything if they are contacted.

We always recommend that Timeshare owners do their research on any company before paying anything upfront as it is very difficult to know who to trust, and will advise anybody to contact us if they are contacted by anyone asking for money upfront.

Below you can find a link and some more information on a previous article that we published in June with some common and usually clear warning signs for what to look out when contacted:
