A consumer association is an organisation set up through an agreement between a group of people who come together for a reason other than to make a profit.

That is the fundamental reason and the fundamental purpose of any consumer association.

We are the Timeshare Consumer Association (TCA), we stand with consumers on all matters of timeshare and hope to give good, truthful honourable, trustworthy and reliable advice to consumers for the benefit of consumers and at all times.

We are not and will not court timeshare resorts, developers, traders, selling firms and buyer firms. We do not advance services of any legal organisations, firm or company unless they have the expertise required to assist a consumer in a particular matter.

We are (in part) a pressure group determined to advance the case of consumers and ensure the rights consumer have under authorities, legislation regulation and statute. We only exist so as to maintain a good, fair and honourable trading environment in the relationship between consumers and the industry as a whole. We hope to advance on behalf of consumer’s better rights of protection, to make contracts simpler to understand and encourage regulation in the early parts of contracts so as to defer contract completion until such time as consumers have received just, reliable and independent advice.

To avoid doubt, we do not extend any advice or service to inter trading disputes, will not become embroiled in company on company arguments and litigation.

We do not work in conjunction with any associations who are supported by any organisation (s) who sponsor the association by way of inducements, payments or advertisements which promote the service opportunities and activities of traders in the industry.

In respect to the above we will not work with, for or in conjunction with trade bodies unless those trade bodies firstly establishing (in full) who they represent, the purpose of the working union, the benefit they seek to establish and the impact those benefits will have on consumers.

Any and all promotions which are sited on any web site or literature (which involves traders) is given free of charge and subject to review at any time. Any and all application to court TCA recommendation will be at the choice of the trader and any and all documentation and time spent will be not be refunded. At all times the TCA will have the right to discontinue its investigation delay commencement of an investigation or permanently terminate the investigation without giving a reason, excuse, or adverse finding. Any and all trader relationships are entirely based upon gentleman’s agreement whereby any agreement can be cancelled without warning by either party and without any form of compensation being claimed of paid by either party.

Consumers are required to apply decorum when dealing with any member of the Association, its staff and Directors. The servants and agents of the association can and will terminate any assistance in the event consumers abuse, threaten or intimidate any staff member and will at all times reserve the right to have the matter investigated by the police.
