Compensation Groups
The Timeshare Consumers Association (TCA) under the guardianship of Sandy Grey set up a number of ‘class action’ compensation groups in conjunction with three UK Solicitors firms.

Those compensation claims are in respect of alleged misrepresentations by various timeshare companies in the UK and abroad. Similarly, those claims will consist of co-defendants who are credit card companies and/or banks that provided linked loans for the purchases.

The claims in the above paragraphs are made under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 .
If the claim is successful, each claimant will be able to recover ALL the money paid (irrespective of how it was paid i.e.- credit card, debit card, cheque, cash, BACS, etc.) provided that the purchase price was more than £100 and less than £30,000.
Where the claim relates to a linked loan from a bank a successful claim should also cancel the loan agreement.

The TCA does not make any charge to join the groups.

The Timeshare Consumers Association and Prolegal Solicitors are investigating compensation claims against UK lenders who have funded timeshare purchases in Exeter. The Consumer Credit Act allows claims for misrepresentations and broken agreements by timeshare sellers to be made against lenders instead.

The solicitors will then contact you and explain whether or not you qualify to join the compensation group. If you do qualify, they will explain the arrangements for joining the group, which, we are informed, will be on a “no win, no fee” basis.

Group Compensation Claim 2

Club la Costa
The Timeshare Consumers Association under Sandy Grey (“TCA”) made arrangements with Linder Myers LLP, in Manchester, to investigate and, if found appropriate, make a claim on behalf of consumers who are unhappy with their membership(s) of Club la Costa – “CLC”.

The first stage is for Linder Myers to assess details of those individual consumers who are disgruntled with their membership(s), so as to establish whether their circumstances could enable them to join a potential compensation group.

If you are dissatisfied with your membership of Club la Costa and wish for Linder Myers to carry out a no obligation review of your timeshare ownership, please complete the questionnaire below.

Once the completed questionnaires have been reviewed, Linder Myers, will contact you to explain whether you qualify to join the compensation group. The terms for joining this group including the procedure for joining will attract an administration fee of £235 (including VAT). Completing the questionnaire, however, does not make you liable for any costs even if you are no longer a member of Club la Costa, you may still qualify to join the action group.

Please be aware it may take some weeks to process your questionnaire.

Please note that Linder Myers and the TCA are aware that Club la Costa has many satisfied members. You should only complete the questionnaire below if you are unhappy with your membership.

WHY JOIN THIS GROUP?

  1. The purpose of the group is:
    • To assist consumers to recover monies from Club la Costa by way of loans;
    • To terminate dissatisfied members of Club la Costa and to bring to an end the loans taken out by consumers to acquire their timeshare with Club la Costa.
  2. Linder Myers LLP is a firm of solicitors regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
  3. With the exception of an initial £235, Linder Myers LLP will carry out the work on a ‘no win no fee’ basis.
